Digital Turf Imaging (DTI) was started, to focus Ground Penetrating Radar and other non-destructive testing equipment for the Golf Industry.  DTI was simply focused on locating flush outs and outfalls.  Superintendents would state that they didn't have as-builts and it was really difficult to locate these items in order to vent them and properly clean out the gases that get trapped.  The service has evolved to 3D images of the green, not only allowing the course management to have their as-builts, but also a look into other subsurface issues, such as "birdbaths" or clogged drain tiles.  DTI then added GPS services which includes accurate green sizes and green contouring.  All of this data is then placed as layers into a CAD file and sent to the customer.
